While learning Hulu in Kauai, I learned so many deep Hawaiian culture... one was that there are over 250 individual names for Wind, as the pertain to location and types. Hawaiians chant and communicate to the consciousness of each type. Then I experienced it in a sacred dedication ceremony for the Hanalei river..

Wind is ... no words..

Your feelings about the wind are interesting. I am frightened by the wind. It's pretty much the thing that will wake me from a deep sleep. High wind wakes me jolt upright whereas I have been known to sleep through alarms and even a pneumatic drill. Stormy nights = no sleep for me 😕

Hi April. Oh, I totally understand. You may want to search (using your spirit guides) the hidden meaning of your fright of wind (originally wrote 'water'!). Honestly, the more you understand the ancestry of your feelings, it may help you. (just an idea) I have the same rapport with Water. It has scared me most of my lifetime. Over the past few years, I have been able to shift it to 'deep respect' for Water. Thanks so much for your comments. Be well! (the fact that you read the article about Wind says you are interested in shifting your response, perhaps?)

Haha. Thanks. I feel I must have died in a storm but I have no evidence of this. It is something I am keen to explore though and find where my irrational fear comes from. I live in the UK so not even the case that I live in a country where tornadoes and hurricanes cause deaths each year x

Melissa I am loving the syncronicity of so many messages I am reading about the elements this week. I too love that feeling of a storm brewing, when the wind is whipping up, it feel so powerful. It also reminds me when you see in films the wind shifting when there is spirit near or Mother Nature giving you a nod. I've experienced it myself, so magical. I will pay more attention to the elements this week as that's what I feel called to do.
