It seems like the world has gone bonkers! Or is it just me?
One day I see and connect with all the compassionate and caring people of the world, and I feel like Love and Peace will prevail. I take time for meditation and good intentions for the day. I see the sun shining brightly and hear kids playing in the neighborhood. All is right with the world.
The next day, turning on the news I see so much hatred, death, and destruction. Heaven forbid where this could go. I look outside and see dark gloomy skies and can’t get the horror of war and shootings out of my head. How could this be the same place as the day before?
Is it the same world? Can there be good and bad in the same space? I know, they say that our world is made up of balance. That good and bad (or positive and negative vibrations) need to be present to balance the energy. Not sure if I believe that. Got to think about it.
So, there’s this thing, a concept of yin-yang. Yin represents positive (one universe?). The Yang represents negative (a parallel universe?). It is part of Ancient Chinese philosophy. It describes how opposite energies may be balancing, interconnected, and symbiotic in the natural world.
That thought then takes us to the labyrinth. It is a large circular pattern usually on the ground that can be walked slowly allowing time for introspection and meditation (yin energy, feminine, passive – one universe?). Then returning to the (real) world, refreshed and strong (yang energy, male, aggressive – the second, or parallel universe?). Both aspects compliment each other. Both are needed.
What do you think?
Are we living in two universes at the same time, or are we experiencing a parallel life in one universe? Trying to keep it balanced. I’m doing my part, are you?
I’d love to have your comments and ideas about balancing with negative and positive. Feel free to share this journal entry with others that would be interested.
Peace!
Great post! I am proud of you, friend. ❤ By nature, I am a positive person. My life has been full of tragedy and heartache, which has taught me resilience and compassion. I choose to keep those stories behind me instead of wearing them like a badge of honor or letting them define me. I stay in the here and now as much as possible, and choose to focus on what's going right instead of what's going wrong. Being a highly sensitive being, it is a matter of survival for me. Other people see it as a Pollyanna approach, but I do believe we all have to manage in whatever way feels best for each of us. I choose to be a beacon, although it takes a lot of self care to stay balanced and effective. We all bear the weight of the world in our own way. Some need to be warriors, and some hold the light. I am well aware of the horrors happening, but I cannot immerse myself in them and function. We have to be able to see past the broken world to visualize and give birth to a new one. Bravo for asking folks to consider this and give their opinion!
