Such an important topic Melissa and one that I think that many people have wrestled with, including me! I do believe that the art of mastering our ‘craft’ means that we are able to charge for what we do. Having said that I would never deny anyone the help they needed for a fair exchange of energy.

You are so right! There have been plenty of reading/consultations I have given for 'barter' or fair exchange of energy. Many, I might add were very beneficial. And some given from my heart. So we must agree there are many ways for payment. Thanks so much for your comment!

Great article - I think most healers will wrestle with this one because we are the givers. It took me time too, to get clear on this topic. Another explained to me the significance of energetic exchange - giving and receiving creates equilibrium and mirrors how we value ourselves. It doesn't mean I charge for every little thing but not allowing ourselves to receive causes energetic imbalance, reducing the impact of what it is we offer, and eventually emptying our energetic cup. Plus lightworkers need to eat!

Eat We Must! I really like your take on the subject. I guess it comes down to finding that level balance that we feel good about, and our clients are good with it too. We energy workers must first value ourselves and the gift we embrace. making sure we have studied it and practiced it fully. Then it can be offered with Love. Thanks so much Michelle for your thoughts.

Excellent topic. A must-read for all energy workers! I have fixed prices for my astrology readings but when it comes to spiritual coaching I have been guided more and more towards the "pay what you can" model and it has been illuminating.
