Ancient Wisdom
We Are All One-Primordial Knowing
From the beginning of time, since all was created, life evolved in different ways as a result of the manner in which situations were experienced. But for a very long time, all remained as one, co-habiting perfectly.
Millions of years ago all breathing, sentient beings were in the infancy of humanity. This included animals, plant life, stone people and humans. For all practical purposes, there was no difference between them. They were aware of outside occurrences but did not "realize" that awareness.
We could call this inchoate consciousness: The basic movement towards humanity was in its beginning stages, at a very rudimentary starting point. For many generations, humans and animals lived on instinct and shared their spot together on earth, not completely developed or clear.
That cohabitation was normal and created a base of paradigm thinking. This idea is based largely around oral folklore. Many consider folklore, or oral stories that have been passed down through the generations as being anecdotal. Hence, the stories are not considered as viable sources of information.
However, when stories are shared at length over periods of time, and then published in a paper or review of some kind, they are then considered as case histories. This offers much more credence to traditional customs and beliefs. According to Webster’s dictionary, folklore provides the science that investigates the life and spirit of "a peoples".
We also know that many indigenous people never recorded their history in the form of written words or scripts. But they kept their historic information, traditions and lineage contained in the oral teachings of one person usually called the records keeper.
This being said, we will consider the folklore shared here as being a reliable source with which to evaluate. The myths of that magical time when animals and humans shared cohabitation, tell that there were no boundaries. Animals and Humans lived peacefully together and shared a common language. Being able to speak and hear through the eyes and ears of humans and animals combined, brought about a phenomenal essence of majesty and the divine.
Humans and Animals originally were one and the same. At a time when there was no judgment or comparison---that is, a time of love and acceptance---all living creatures were breathing the breath of the Creator. All was One. Humans, animals and plants all lived within the earth as one organism.
Human beings do not see themselves as separate from other animals but as intimately interconnected.
"The ancients were people, yet also animals. In form some looked human while some walked on all fours like animals. Some could fly like birds; others could swim like fishes. All had the gift of speech, as well as greater powers and cunning than either animals or people. … Besides the ancients, real people and real animals lived on the earth at that time. Old One made the people out of the last balls of mud he took from the earth. He rolled them over and over, shaped them like Indians, and blew on them to bring them alive” ~ An Okanogan Legend, "Creation of the Animal People," reported by Ella Clark in the 1950's.
Animals, existing closer to the earth, were able to encapsulate the spirit qualities within themselves: each one holding a different concept. When humans realized this, they became jealous and developed the ego instead. This was not right or wrong---only the way things were.
This change in awareness, perceiving Self as different, created a very drastic shift in human development, which ultimately separated humans from the One. The "awakening of humanity," if you will, transformed oneness into separate identity, and recognized reality in a different way. The new human perception started to create its own reality, or dream.
A separate identity, ego, was slowly developing, and wanting to express itself in numerous ways. Instinct seemed to take a new direction by expanding artistic and creative senses.
Ego began to develop in humans and Humanity began to think of itself as supreme intelligence.
As a result of that disconnection, humans lost the instinct and communication abilities that once were very much a part of our lives.
In this separateness, humans created many dream stories and beliefs. They grew further away from each other and Nature. Conflicts began and an inability to communicate with each other or live in the Natural Law
What a Big Mess
Over much time we seem to have gotten ourselves into a big mess. I mean the world in general is in a big mess. I guess it is more obvious to us these days because everything is shared with us instantly.
The media, including newspapers, social media, telephones, instant messaging, web news outlets, magazines (paper and web-based), as well as word of mouth have all contributed to people of earth knowing more about ourselves and those across vast bodies of water and land.
We get swept up in stories, news in other countries, injustices of a people or culture. By getting so much news we become inundated with too much.
As it turns out, we may be in a very delicate place on earth. Events in the world are hurling out of sync, fully unmanageable. We hope that history does not repeat itself, but what could have gotten us to this point? An even better question is What Can We Do About It?
Have we failed at living a productive and meaningful life?
We have distanced ourselves from natural laws. We are disconnected from what our distant ancestral heritage has known to be sacred: reverent and respectful, a connection with All. The prevailing indigenous way of life works in a natural way. It allows us to assist others, to process events in a custom-related manner. They knew what worked and what was the genuine way of living.
It was obvious that the ancients lived within the natural laws. It could be indigenous tribes, the Gnostics, the Cathars, the Celtic wise women, the shaman and witch doctors alike. These natural cultures and customs became systematically targeted as opposite to what the patriarchal society wanted. They wiped out the belief systems (in the name of Religion) that cohabited and worked so well. They replaced it with false concepts and a system of manipulated laws and agendas.
Beneficial ancient knowledge, wisdom and truth can change the minds of men and women. Then mankind can form better social systems, free from all the competitive pressures that this present system holds.
“Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognised. In the first, it is ridiculed. In the second, it is opposed. In the third, it is regarded as self evident.” ~ Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860)
Modern Problems, Ancient Solutions
The Book of Wisdom
There are remnants of the ancient lores still remaining, and many clues left behind in stone and bone. The indigenous cultures around the world were not savages as has been portrayed to the western world. They were clever, fair and lived as communities. A wide understanding of celestial and astronomical knowledge was common among many.
When a person fell ill, the medicine man would see to him without charge, medicines came from the land which hold cures for every disease known, just as our European ancestors did in the far gone past. Our current ways are to pay a doctor, whom only knows how to prescribe chemical drugs made by the big Pharma companies for a price that usually create many other ailments at the same time, whilst making a minority a whole lot of money.
The ancient cultures had a mutual respect for nature and each other, working together as communities. The young were taught by the elders, the elderly looked after by the younger. Some of the concepts shared within the community or family are:
The basics of survival or natural laws
About the universe and stars
Hunting, planting and gathering
Healing through nature
Having common law of respect for one another’s differences and beliefs.
Working together for a mutual goal of survival.
So much knowledge about ourselves, our origins, our history, technology and such has been hidden from us and almost removed from the modern human psyche.
For the future of the planet, the future of all species, the future of our children and all who come after, may we become one tree with many branches, putting our differences aside, firmly planting our roots and standing strong and tall, against the tyranny brought about by a greedy few.
Love is the key.
Aboriginal Book of Wisdom
The following words from Boomba DJunebun are as fresh today as they were when he wrote them 30 years ago…
Message to the People
“Civilisation as we have it today, did not come easily to mankind, for there was a price to pay. The price paid, was the blood, sweat, and tears of the people of the ages. Cultures clashed with cultures, there was religious intolerance, and whole races of people became wiped out from the face of the earth.
“All races of the world have contributed something to this civilisation of which we have today. Do you know that just over two thousand years ago, the people of Britain were just no different to any other tribal existence, roaming the land, hunting and fishing, the women gathering the things to eat which nature had to offer. They painted their bodies blue, and had their own spiritual beliefs and culture. They also resented the intrusion of the civilised world, they stood on the cliffs of Dover, hurling down rocks and spears at the Roman Invaders, driving them away from their shores. But later still, the Romans returned, and this time beat the tribesmen back, taking over their land. Civilisation had come to the British Isles, Britain had become part of the Roman Empire. The Iceni Tribe would not give up, and continually rebelled, until at last they were wiped out by the Roman legions.
“As the British people became civilised, so Christianity came to Britain, under the church of Rome, and as Christianity took a hold, so the Britons that wished to keep to their old ways of life and spiritual beliefs, fled from the civilised areas to live on the heaths (an open tract of waste-land). The word ‘Heathen’ came into being, and the Christians would hunt them down, killing them off, and burning their spiritual leaders at the stake. ‘Witch’ is a corruption of the ancient British word ‘Wicca’, which was a clever-woman. She was a midwife, healer, and spiritual teacher, for the Britons were a Matriarchal society, and women had great respect. The Christians gave the Wicca a bad name, and witch hunts took place almost up to this present age.
“Religion no matter what it is, aims to come to terms with evils and misfortune, and it does this by rites and ceremonies with symbolic meanings. The symbolic washing away of sin by the blood, sacrifices, the casting of sins upon a scape-goat. I do not like symbolism, it is not real. I do not like the word ‘religion’ — it conjures up in my mind all the terrible things of the past. I do not like to see peoples cultures and spiritual beliefs destroyed and engulfed by powerful religions.
“Spiritual knowledge belongs to ALL PEOPLE, as the sun, the wind, and the rain does. It does not matter where the spiritual knowledge comes from, as long as it is reasonable and true, and helps people to understand the things beyond this earthly existence, and that it changes peoples lives towards a better way of living.
“To ask people to deny their spiritual beliefs and culture, is to ask those people to deny the greater part of themselves. Aboriginals must hold on tightly to the best of their spiritual beliefs and culture, but must also realise that culture must grow, for if it does not, it will only stagnate and die. Spiritual beliefs and culture only grows by the discovery of new knowledge, and these discoveries of new knowledge makes the culture stronger and determines that it shall survive.
“What keeps a people together as a nation, is the common history and spiritual beliefs of the people, and once these become lost or destroyed, the people have nothing to preserve their identity, and have to adopt some one else’s spiritual beliefs and culture, this makes them just hangers on to some other culture and peoples of that culture.
“Aboriginals do not want a Christianity or any other religion with an added Aboriginal flavour. They want their own Aboriginal spirituality to grow into a greater spirituality, and to become something which is going to carry them into the future.
“No longer are Aboriginals estranged from one another by the barriers of different tribal languages, the English language has become one of the major uniting factors. No longer do the vast distances of this land keep the people apart, the distance barrier has become broken down, through modern transport and the telephone. Aboriginals can now write their own books and preserve the things they hold sacred, they can accumulate new knowledge and wisdom, the world is now open to them. The Aboriginals have become one people, and now seek a greater unity under their own God ‘Baiame’.
“Could it be that ‘Baiame’ in his wisdom, allowed this to happen, that you the Aboriginal people, his people, would become a ‘One People’, and a strong people. Australia had its humble beginnings, but now is the time that all must work together to make this nation of ours strong and encourage all nations of this globe to stand strong.
“Now is the time for all races to look outward, and say to the other peoples of the world: We want to come to know you, and learn more about you, and we want you to come to know us and learn more about us….”

People of Earth have become lost to themselves. Their Soul is in conflict. They search for answers outside of themselves and don’t recognize Nature and The Natural Law.
The more we acknowledge Instinct, and cultivate its tendencies, the closer we will come to the total intellect of the universe. We will realize the connection to All That Is, and by recognizing our combined energy. This can cultivate a serious surge in thought evolution. This will bring Humanity to its Natural State.
