Have You Received Messages from Spirit?
Message Work by Mediums

Have you been given a message from a stage psychic medium? This fortune teller in the picture above was a cool way to ‘play’ like you are getting a message. It was safe and more of a toy for folks in an amusement park. These days it is much different. You can interact with real, live people who are spiritual or psychic mediums.
Spirit Gallery/Message Work
One of the most popular ways to work with the public in the psychic world now is Message Work. This is very similar to the Spirit Galleries you may see on television by John Edward or James Van Praagh. Message Work became known in the spiritualist churches as part of the regular service.
Different mediums get up in front of the group or congregation and give short bits of information as evidence of spirit existence. Each message usually is three or four sentences long, with some information the attendee recognizes. This is also known as evidential presentations, platform work or message services.
While teaching Spiritual Awareness Classes as part of unfoldment, I like to include many exercises for the class to practice. Psychometry is used quite a lot, but I also like using direct vibration work. This is using only the connection of personal vibration or voice vibration.
Before starting in classes, each student usually can already receive information randomly and without limitation. There was no instruction on how to present the information and share it with conviction or control.
To practice the direct vibration work, the student stands and is directed to each class member, to present whatever information she/he receives for them. This is a perfect practice to indoctrinate the student on moving from one person to another quickly, learning to connect and disconnect properly.
When giving short messages or mini readings, it is very important to move from one person to the next without interruption. But just as in the case of the new students, if you have always let the information flow without your direction, you will have a problem disconnecting from one message before starting a new one. Many of the new students were gifted in receiving impressions and evidence but had never worked with a mentor or teacher to learn how to present the information. They gave bits and pieces, without structure and did not fully disconnect from the client before moving to the next one.
More Information Leaked Through
As a result, more information leaked through for the first client during the second session. They felt compelled to go back to the first client and say what they received. This could be considered disrespectful to the second client. The student was not in control of the presentation, situation or the flow of content. This is where I help them learn the skill of connecting and disconnecting.
Always engage the client at the beginning of the set. Ask permission or ask for the name of the person you wish to work with. When the name is said, it opens the vibration and aura, allowing you to work with the vibration. Then it is obvious to all you are not intruding.
Closing Your Vibration Connection
To completely close the vibration with the first client, you must be firm in the manner you do it. You must be very conscious of your intent and focused the entire time. Be completely in charge. As you complete the message, look directly at the client, and say “Bless you …Thank you …I leave that with you (…or…) I’m leaving your vibration.” You are instructing your guides that you must move on. Then literally move your body away from the first client and towards the new one.
This technique puts both sides of your mind to work you must be open to the intuitive side of your mind, but also stay conscious of what you are doing. To work with subtle energies and the spirit realm, you must always be open, but totally in charge, too.
