When on a spiritual quest or adventure, we open up to enlightenment, or at least partial enlightenment. But wanting to grow spiritually is sometimes difficult when the energies around you are telling you ‘No’. Today we will explore how opening the Third Eye and dealing with the Ego might be a stop stick on the road to enlightenment.

What I’ve Been Up To
Every once in a while, I like to keep you up to date with me and what I’ve been doing.
I am feeling much better lately. Mainly because the Sun is shining brightly! My energy is getting better. But I am still dealing with family health issues that take my time. However, (without being specific) that is beginning to shift and change in a good way.
Starting my official, personal website again. During Covid and major health issues, it got to be too much for me to handle. I was starting to write with my Substack account, so I closed my website - melissaleath(dot)com. I’ll be putting it up in the next month and slowly decide exactly what will go there. 😊 Of course, I’ll introduce it here on A Mystic’s Journal.
After the website gets up, I will present several mini courses exclusively on the site. They will be special topics dealing with metaphysical expansion, mostly in PDFs so you can cover the material easily, in your own time. There will be short video snippets included. Much more on that as it happens! 🌀
I appreciate you and am very excited to have you here with me on A Mystic’s Journal! Please let me know how you are doing or anything you’d like to share by clicking the ‘comment’ button here:
The Third Eye
The pineal gland, more commonly known as the third eye, is located within the center of the human brain and is as small as a pea. It is located directly behind the eyes, attached to the third ventricle. It is called pineal because it looks similar to a pinecone in shape and this fact is seen throughout world religions in their statues and symbols.
While the physiological function of the pineal gland (regulates thirst, hunger and the aging process), has been unknown until recent times, mystical traditions and esoteric schools, have long known, this area in the middle of the brain, is a connecting link between the physical and nonphysical (spiritual) planes of existence. The pineal gland secretes melatonin, during times of relaxation and visualization.
Intuition is also achieved, through “third eye” development. Knowledge and memory of the astral plane are not registered in full waking consciousness, until the intuition becomes strong enough. Flashes of intuition come, with increasing consistency, as the ‘third eye’ is activated to a greater degree, through practice.
Many cultures and religions have honored the Third Eye in their own way. In Buddhism, statues depicting a pinecone covering the top of Buddha’s head, representing meditation as a way to ‘activate’ the Third Eye.
In Christianity, the teacher Jesus told followers that “the eye is the lamp of the body; so, then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.” This referred to the internal third eye that sees out into the higher and more subtle forms of energy and the world.
In Hinduism, the third eye symbolizes spiritual knowledge and power, and is called the eye of wisdom or knowledge. According to the texts, the powerful gaze of Shiva’s third eye annihilates evil, and thus the evildoers fear his third eye.
Science has found that the pineal gland has atrophied over time. And may have become hardened by the time adulthood is reached. This could be one of the Hidden Forces that is sabotaging your Enlightenment.
How to Reactivate the Pineal Gland
There is an ancient technique that has been passed down through the centuries for reactivating the pineal gland. The technique produces the same results that the Tibetan monks achieve through trance meditation. If you feel you are ready to explore higher realms of consciousness, I share this technique with you.
To begin the exercise, you need to find the right vibrational tone. Hum the word “love”. Do not hum it in a very low- or high-pitched voice but comfortably somewhere in between. When you find the right tone, it will resonate with you.
Sit comfortably with your back straight and your eyes closed and scan your body for any sign of tension.
Take 3 long deep breaths through your nose and exhale all the tension through your mouth.
Visualize your third eye opening to a loving universe where all that exists is bliss.
Take another deep breath through your nose and hold it for a few seconds.
Just before you exhale, purse your lips and place your tongue between your teeth.
Press down gently on your tongue with your teeth.
As you slowly exhale through your pursed lips, loudly hum the word “love” and vibrate the V sound until all of the air is expelled from your lungs.
Repeat this exercise four more times taking a few moments rest between each repetition. To awaken your pineal gland, you need to repeat this exercise again for two more days in a row at 24 hours apart. The entire exercise only has to be done once to be effective.
Using meditation exercises, it may take six weeks or more to experience your newly awakened abilities.
✳️ There are many ‘slip-and-falls’ as we explore spirituality and begin implementing new thoughts and ideas into our practice and life. But using Third Eye Reactivation will open new worlds on your path.
