The alignment of Energies is an ongoing thing, for you will never achieve absolute alignment as long as you remain focused through your physical apparatus. ~~Abraham, through the connection with Esther Hicks
Being able to start on a development course for mediumship, one of the most powerful tools in doing so is a development meditation. Meditation is good for many things: physical relaxation, mental stress release and spiritual consolation. But many people do not realize that a certain stage of meditation can assist you in your development of mediumship.
It is the second stage of meditation I call “The Mind Stage”. This is where your physical body has relaxed enough and let go enough, but the mind is still awake and aware. This Mind Stage of meditation is the area that allows spirit connections and communion. It is actually what many people call blending of the spirit entity to the physical medium.
The main purpose of communicating between the two worlds is to receive impressions of love and truth from those in the spirit world. It is a way of confirmation that all is well with our loved ones who have passed away from this earthly life. To start your own Development Meditation, you access or connect the Inner Self with the Outer (physical) Self you expand your understanding. Your connection with the Inner Self will be very personalized, but there are certain processes that assist you on your exploration.
The process will help you recognize The Inner Self. Your Spirit constantly shares knowledge with your conscious self. There is always information coming to you. Be available to access the pathway of connection. You can then be open to understanding what is being given to you. A desire to open the pathway is important for the process to happen. As long as you desire it and work towards the opening on a consistent basis, you will succeed.
Consciously finding time for your practice. Fifteen to twenty minutes each day is good. Be consistent in the habit of sitting for opening. Allow your conscious mind to rest. Be still and quiet without thinking on purpose about anything. At first your ego mind will want to be in control. That is alright, it gives you a chance to recognize what that is like. Start the session knowing what Your Intention is. As you sit to quiet your mind, the physical body starts to relax.
The mind will also release stress. You feel very relaxed; possibly ready to sleep. But your intention is to sit for development and opening to the Inner Self. Stay awake and conscious of your experience. Your body will start to feel different, sluggish or stiff. It may seem numb or separate from you. This alignment opens your pathway to spiritual awareness.
At this point just allow the process to take place. Soon after sitting regularly, different parts of the body (fingers, head or torso) will move without you purposely making it move. This is when your Inner Self is fully engaged. The Inner Spirit is actively conducting the music now. Just enjoy the tune and know full communication is taking place.
The alignment of Spirit and the Outer Self can only be done during this opening of the pathway. You are not able to achieve it on your own, consciously. So, there is no need to try to do it. Just allow it. Sit for a period of 15-20 minutes clearing your mind of superficial self-talk. Focus on your breathing and allow the pathway between your conscious self and spirit self to open.
After you recognize your body is moving without your conscious request, you are truly in the communication mode with your inner being. The alignment has taken place. Communication is activated, but still in a primitive stage. If you sit for the 15-20 minutes or less, and receive the movement response, you are ready for the next phase.
Here are some things to remember:
When you want communication from your Higher Self, or Spirit, be sure to have a question ready, or at least a general idea or topic. It must always be a rewarding and uplifting session; it is for your edification.
Spend some time really deciding what you will ask. Be very specific. Your answer will only be as specific as your question
Quiet your mind as usual for the communication but remain conscious to understand the answer coming to you. It probably will not be words delivered to you from your Higher Self. It will be ideas, or a “knowing”. Try hearing with your mind and heart instead of your outer ears. Expect it to take a while to get a feel for it.
It usually takes a few seconds for the idea to be presented and the conscious mind to translate it into physical words. Do not get frustrated but allow the process to take as long as needed.
Your first attempts will feel awkward and slow. It will be similar in learning to ride a bike. Many mistakes will happen, but that is the process of learning.
After you pose your question, separate your thoughts from question mode into receiving mode by taking a few deep breaths. Then wait for the slightest impulse or fleeting thought to enter your mind. You will probably second-guess yourself as to whether it is an answer from the Higher Self or from your own conscious thoughts. This is normal. After a while, you may notice a subtle difference between the two. Generally, your own thoughts may flit around from one thing to another. But information from Spirit will be smoother and actually feel rhythmical.
If your own thoughts are getting in the way of communication, you may feel uneasy or begin to doubt what you are getting. You should stop the session and try again another time. By continuing in doubt, you only welcome in lower energies that like to trick or confuse.
The next time you start a communication session, be sure to have a clear intent on the question, open to the possibility of connecting to higher vibrations and the communication will be good. After continued practice, you will connect much easier and it will be a very special relationship. You will have a broader view of the world and all things that affect you in it. You now become much more familiar with your Guidance System. It puts you on the path of your spiritual growth and allows you to become and know the things you originally set out to accomplish in this physical lifetime.
